Combined Visit
Chiropractic + Red Light Therapy in One Seattle Visit
Chiropractic care and full-body red light therapy, together in one appointment. MindBody Med is the only clinic in Seattle's Ravenna neighborhood offering both under one roof.
Chiropractic Adjustment
Restores joint motion and addresses the mechanical side of discomfort.
Prism Light Pod (RLT)
17,000 LEDs in a 15-minute session that may help reduce inflammation and support tissue recovery.
Why Combine
Why Patients Pair Them
Chiropractic and red light therapy address different aspects of musculoskeletal discomfort and recovery.
Adjustment restores motion, red light may support recovery
A chiropractic adjustment restores joint motion. A red light session afterward may support local circulation and tissue recovery in the surrounding area.
Red light before the adjustment
Some patients use the Prism Light Pod before their adjustment. Research suggests red light may help reduce local inflammation and ease soft-tissue discomfort, which can make hands-on care more comfortable.
Two approaches, one visit
Chiropractic addresses joint mechanics. Red light therapy has been studied for inflammation, circulation, and recovery. Doing both in one visit saves time. Whether the pairing fits your care plan is a conversation with your provider.

Who It's For
Who Typically Books Combined Care
The combined visit is often chosen by patients dealing with inflammation-related discomfort or slow recovery. Your provider will tell you whether adding red light therapy makes sense for your situation.
- Post-surgical or post-injury recovery
- Chronic back, neck, or joint discomfort
- Athletes recovering from soft tissue injuries
- Auto accident or whiplash recovery
- Anyone whose care plan includes both hands-on treatment and recovery support
What the Research Explores
Photobiomodulation (red and near-infrared light) has been studied in peer-reviewed research for its potential role in reducing local inflammation, supporting circulation, and helping manage discomfort associated with musculoskeletal conditions. These are the same areas chiropractic care most commonly addresses.
The proposed mechanism involves light absorption by mitochondria, which research suggests may support ATP production and influence inflammatory signaling.
Red light therapy is a complementary tool, not a replacement for clinical care. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and individual experiences vary.
