Plan by Plan
How We Work With Each Insurer
Every plan is different, so here is how coverage typically works with the insurers we see most. Many plans may also cover medically necessary massage; our medical massage page explains how treatment-focused massage and insurance billing work.
Premera Blue Cross
Looking for a chiropractor that takes Premera in Seattle? MindBody Med accepts Premera Blue Cross plans for chiropractic care, and many Premera plans may also cover medically necessary massage or acupuncture where the plan allows. Benefits and visit limits vary by plan, so call us and we can help verify yours before your first visit.
Regence BlueShield (Including UW Medicine Plans)
We accept Regence BlueShield for chiropractic care, including the UW Regence plans carried by many University of Washington and UW Medicine employees in our Ravenna and University District neighborhood. Medically necessary massage and acupuncture may also be covered where your plan allows. Coverage differs from plan to plan, so call and we can check your benefits.
Aetna
MindBody Med accepts Aetna plans for chiropractic care, and some Aetna plans may cover medically necessary massage or acupuncture as part of a documented treatment plan. Copays, deductibles, and visit limits vary, so call ahead and we can help confirm what your specific plan includes.
Cigna
We accept Cigna for chiropractic care at our Seattle clinic, and medically necessary massage or acupuncture may be covered under some Cigna plans as well. Because benefits vary widely between Cigna plans, we recommend calling our office so we can verify your coverage before you book.
Kaiser Permanente
Kaiser Permanente members can receive chiropractic care at MindBody Med where their plan allows. Some Kaiser plans manage chiropractic and acupuncture benefits through networks such as American Specialty Health (ASH), which we also accept. Call us with your member information and we can help sort out how your plan works.
United Healthcare
MindBody Med accepts United Healthcare plans for chiropractic care, and medically necessary massage or acupuncture may be covered where your plan allows. United plans differ in visit limits and referral requirements, so call our office and we can help verify your benefits before your first appointment.
Medicare
We accept Medicare for chiropractic spinal manipulation when it is part of active treatment. Medicare does not cover maintenance care, and it generally does not cover massage therapy or acupuncture at our clinic. Call us and we can walk you through what Medicare covers and the self-pay options for anything it does not.
Not sure what your plan covers? Call (206) 523-9000 and we can help verify your benefits before your first visit.
Injured in an Auto Accident?
We work directly with auto insurance (PIP) and personal injury attorneys. You typically pay nothing out of pocket for auto accident treatment while your claim is active.
