Why MindBody Med
Care That Understands Training Load
Green Lake might be the most active square mile in Seattle. Our exam rooms see what the loop produces: overuse injuries from runners stacking miles, cyclists with position-related strain, and walkers whose knees and hips have opinions about hills.
Runners
IT band syndrome, runner's knee, shin splints, and low back pain from mileage jumps. We look at gait, training load, and mechanics before adjusting anything, then build corrective exercise into the plan so the problem doesn't come back at mile two.
Cyclists
Long hours in the drops show up as neck strain, tight hip flexors, and grumpy lumbar spines. We factor riding position into the assessment and coordinate with sports massage when tissue work will speed things up.
Recovery Days
The pairing our active patients rave about: sports massage to address the specific restriction, then 15 minutes in the full-body Prism Light Pod. We're the only chiropractic clinic in the area with one, and your first pod session is free.

FAQ
Green Lake Questions, Answered
How far is MindBody Med from Green Lake?
About two miles. From the lake, drive east on NE 65th Street for roughly 7 to 10 minutes and you'll reach our clinic at 2705 NE 65th Street in Ravenna, with free on-site parking. From Roosevelt, it's an even shorter straight shot east, and Roosevelt light rail station connects to buses running along 65th.
Do you treat running injuries from the Green Lake loop?
Yes, constantly. IT band syndrome, runner's knee, shin splints, plantar fasciitis, and low back pain from ramped-up mileage are among the most common conditions we see from Green Lake runners. Dr. Chevigny holds the CCSP sports chiropractic certification, so treatment includes gait and training-load assessment, not just adjustments.
Can I combine sports massage and red light therapy for recovery?
Many of our Green Lake patients do exactly that. Sports massage works out the specific tissue restrictions, then a 15-minute session in our full-body Prism Light Pod supports overall recovery. We are the only chiropractic clinic in the area with a full-body Prism Light Pod, and your first light pod session is free.
Do cyclists come to you too?
Yes. Neck and wrist strain from road position, hip flexor tightness, and low back pain are frequent complaints from cyclists riding the lake loop and the Roosevelt corridors. We assess bike-position-related patterns as part of the exam.
